Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a theologian and spy in Nazi Germany, who was eventually arrested for running an underground seminary, and executed when his involvement in the Valkyrie Plot to assassinate Hitler was uncovered. This redesigned book, In the Steps of Bonhoeffer, combines the original book text with original and sourced photos to provide a more visual biographic account. Symbolic illustrative elements lie throughout the book, iconically representing different stages of Bonhoeffer’s life. The pages were printed and included using the accordion fold method and the book itself was hand crafted.
